In September 2024, one of the most memorable events the roller skating community has seen went down in Milan, Italy. A two-day skating festival took over Pin Bowl DIY, one of the most impressive indoor parks in Europe. The spot itself set the tone: a mini ramp, a wooden bowl, a medium-sized transition park, and a full street course, all under one roof in a truly cosmopolitan city. The hype was real, and skaters from around the world showed up.

Day one was movie night, and it felt like a celebration of where roller skating is right now. The lineup of video premieres was stacked. Miret’s Cruise Control, BROODXIX feat Mud Smith, Silvia’s Hit the road, two Ragnaroll edits, Coven shop and Riedell skates’ team videos, and more. Every edit hit hard. The level was wild, the place was packed, and the energy was one of those you feel in your chest. The kind you wish you could bottle for later.
Day two kicked off with workshops led by Mud, Barbiepatin, Silvia, and Ragnaroll. From there, things ramped up fast. First the intermediate mini ramp contest, then the pro invitational on the street course. By that point, everyone was locked in.
A generational meet up.

The contest did not disappoint. The skating level was high across the board, with a mix of styles and tricks that kept everyone watching in pure awe. Huge respect to the skaters who made it into the finals, with standout moments from Agustina, Lucas, Silvia, Elise and Katja, just to name a few.
Beyond the contests, the festival was about being together. Hanging out with friends, making new ones, watching skate videos shoulder to shoulder, digging through goods at the market area. Most of all, it gave us a rare chance to see some of the best skaters in the world sharing the same space and skating together, not just competing, but connecting.

The crew behind the festival took a well-earned year off in 2025. After what we witnessed in Milan, we can only imagine what they are preparing for 2026. We’ll be there. WE ARE SO READY!
